Act One Salon Places First in National Contest
Act One Salon of Salem recently won first place in a national contest sponsored by Aquage Hair Care products and the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation. Sheila Simone, owner or Act One, Received a certificate of excellence for demonstrating an outstanding commitment to making a difference in the fight against breast cancer. Simone and her team of stylists used live models and demonstrated the latest hairstyling techniques. More than 500 salons across the country participated. With the support of Act One Salon, their clients and other salons across the country, Aquage has guaranteed a minimum donation of $83,000 for 2009.
